One of the biggest risks of construction of nuclear power plants is that they’re plagued with delays of up to several decades, and part of them are even abandoned. During this time, other energy projects are pursued with less vigor or even coal-fired power plants continue to operate. We therefore call for a Plan B consisting of the massive expansion of renewables and energy efficiency because the climate crisis does not wait.
